Everyone has been curious about the house we are trying buy. Here it is! Yes, the closing date has fallen through again, and again, and again. When you try to buy a foreclosure, it takes a long time and is never certain until the papers are signed.

Maddie and Max back in Chicago
The title of our family blog comes from my daughter Madeline's unwavering appreciation of the things we do every day. She is incredibly enthusiastic about life. A while back, she crawled into bed with me in the morning. I asked her if she slept well. Her response was, "Well...Sometimes I can't sleep very much at night because I am so excited for what the next day will bring." She is straight out of an Audrey Hepburn movie! (Paris When it Sizzles.)

Wow, it's gorgeous! Are you guys really getting this one? I'm excited for you. Well, I guess Chicago is your forever home. Very cool! I loved visiting there several years ago. It was really fun! Congrats again... (I'm jealous of the green) :)

Perfect April! I am so, so happy for you! You deserve this one. I can't wait to come see it in person. Some day in the distant future though because we're a bit traveled out at the moment & pretty much poor too!
